On September 23, 2025, I, D/S A. Ibanez, was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to an assault that had occurred.
Upon arrival, I spoke to [REDACTED BY AGENCY], the victim, who stated that at approximately 0430 hours this morning, when she got up for work, her ex-boyfriend asked her for her phone and to unlock it so he could look through it. She advised that this has been an ongoing issue between them. She said that she unlocked it and gave it to him while she was still lying in bed. She said that he started going through deleted text messages that she had on there. She said that he became very agitated with her and started to yell at her about the deleted messages. She said she had deleted a message between her and [REDACTED]. She said that he had broken up with her approximately eight days ago. He told her that she should not have taken it seriously.
She said that while she was still in bed, Mr. Christopher Dever, the offender, threw the phone on the ground, trying to break her phone. The phone was not damaged. She then got up, went to the bathroom to turn on the shower, and tried to defuse the situation. She says that when she walked out of the bathroom that he shoved her with both hands on her chest, back onto the bed. She then started to look for her phone to try and call 911. She then found the phone on the ground on the other side of the bed.
She then stated that he snatched the phone out of her hands and hid it from her. She stated that she tried to get up to take a shower, and he shoved her back on the bed, and he said no, no, no, you lay the fu*k back on the bed. She then told him well, then let me turn off the shower because the water is going to get cold. She said that he then tried to grab her by the wrist and pulled her arm to get her out of the bed.
She then walked back into the bathroom and tried to close the door lightly behind her to try and lock herself in the bathroom. She said that he then shoved the door open, slamming it into the bathroom sink, breaking the door, and he said don’t shut the fu*king door on me, you’re not getting away from me. She said that he then punches the inside of the door, making a hole in the door. She said that he then started to breathe heavily and said, I swear I need to get away from you because I’m about to break every bone in your face.
She said that after he punched the door, Mr. Dever asked her, why are you texting anyone, you know that my words don’t mean anything, and that she should have known that they were broken up. That’s when he then grabbed her by the neck and shoved her against the wall, and held her there. She said that she was not able to breathe and felt like she was about to pass out while he held her by the throat. She stated that the bathroom towel bar was damaged when he grabbed her by the throat and shoved her against the wall.
She said that he finally let her go, and she got into the shower. She said that he got in the shower with her, uninvited, and that he started crying on her shoulder and was trying to apologize for what he had done. She said that once she was done showering, they got dressed and parted ways to go to work.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] refused medical treatment and advised that she was going to see her doctor today about her neck hurting. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that they had never lived together in the past, but that they would spend a lot of time together, staying at each other’s houses. She said it depended on where he would have to report to work, trying to minimize drive time. She also stated that they have had a lot of arguments in the past and that she never reported them due to being scared of what Mr. Dever would do to her. She said that he has threatened her with damaging her belongings so that he would have to be the one to come back and fix them for her.
There are no prior reported incidents of disputes between [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Mr. Dever. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that Mr. Dever left for work after the incident this morning, but does not know where he is currently working, due to his job constantly changing locations.
Pictures of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injuries were uploaded via Axon Evidence. I was able to observe the damage to the bathroom door and the towel rack, where the incident occurred at the above location.
Warrants will be filed for Mr. Christopher Dever.
A victim’s rights pamphlet with the case number was given to [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
[End of Narrative]
