On April 9, 2026, I was dispatched to Amlajack Blvd and Bullsboro Dr., in reference to a hit and run.

Upon my arrival, I met with the caller, who identified herself as [VICTIM #1]. I asked [VICTIM #1] what happened, and she state that she was driving straight in the turn lane when a white Honda Accord displaying MN tag [REDACTED] came into her lane and side-swiped her vehicle. She stated that she attempted to get the driver’s attention, but that the driver did not notice her. She stated that she took a photo of his license plate and that he then fled the scene. I observed damage to [VICTIM #1]’s front bumper and observed that the paint was partially missing. [VICTIM #1] was given a case card with a case number at the scene.

I returned to my patrol vehicle and ran the vehicle’s tag through GCIC/NCIC and saw that it was registered to a male named David Miller. I checked RMS history for Miller, and he showed to live at [400 BLOCK] Shaw Rd, unit [REDACTED]. Deputy McKenzie arrived at [400 BLOCK] Shaw Rd within approximately 20 minutes of the initial call and located the vehicle at [400 BLOCK] Shaw Rd, unit [REDACTED]. Deputy McKenzie then made contact with Miller.

Shortly after, I arrived at [400 BLOCK] Shaw Rd, unit [REDACTED]. Upon my arrival, I observed Miller sitting on the front porch in a chair. I spoke to Deputy McKenzie, who advised me that he spoke with Miller and that Miller stated his friend was driving the vehicle. I then made contact with Miller and asked him what happened. Miller stated that someone had hit his vehicle. I asked Miller how he knew someone had hit his vehicle if he was not in it. Miller stated he was in the passenger seat when it happened and that he was not paying attention. I asked him why he did not call the police, and he could not provide an answer. Miller then admitted that he was driving the vehicle to deputies.

While speaking to Miller, I observed that his eyes were watery and that he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Miller’s speech was slurred, and he was talking very slowly. I also observed that Miller was licking his lips more than usual and that he was slow to answer questions.

Due to Miller admitting he was driving the vehicle and him hitting another vehicle and running, I placed my handcuffs on him and completed a search of his person. Miller was placed in the rear of Deputy McKenzie’s patrol vehicle. I then read Miller, Georgia Impied Consent for Suspects Aged 21 or older and asked for a sample of his blood. Miller refused to provide a sample of his blood. Miller was then transported to the hospital, where he was medically cleared. Miller was then transported to the Coweta County Jail. A blood search warrant was obtained for Miller’s blood, and a sample was collected. I have placed the blood kit in evidence. Miller’s vehicle was left at his residence, where he parked it.
