On May 11, 2026 I, DS Ball, was patrolling in Coweta County when I received a call from DS Bone to assist him on a traffic stop at MM39 I85 S. I arrived on scene he advised me he had stopped a Toyota Corolla GA [REDACTED] for speeding 98 MPH in a 70 MPH zone on Lidar 18997 at 881 Ft.
He then also advised while attempting to catch up the vehicle she failed to maintain her lane by going into the emergency lane on the right side of the road passing another car. He advised when he caught up to her and pulled her over, she stated she was heading to Riverdale and had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath. He also advised he saw what appeared to be an open container of alcohol in plain view inside the vehicle.
I began speaking with the driver later identified as Ms. Deneisha Rose about where she was coming from. She stated she was coming from Clayton County and returning to Clayton County. I asked her where she thought she was now and she stated somewhere on 285 possibly in Henry County.
I observed she had blood shot watery eyes, slurred speech, strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and swayed while standing still. She was also not wearing any shoes at this time which I later discovered from DS Bine that she did not have any shoes. I asked her how much alcohol she had to drink tonight and she stated 1 small glass of wine. I asked her when the last time she drank to which she stated 7pm and when asked what time she thought it was currently she said roughly 9pm.
I asked her if she was willing to perform standard field sobriety testing to which she refused. I asked her if she was willing to perform a preliminary breath test to which she refused. I then placed her under arrest for suspicion of DUI and placed her in the rear of my patrol vehicle. I read her implied consent for over the age of 21 for breath to which she refused. I read her implied consent for over the age of 21 for blood to which she refused. I then read her Miranda Rights to which she stated she kind of understood but did not wish to speak with us.
Inside her vehicle a pink Moscato mini bottle with a pink liquid that had an odor of an alcoholic beverage was located inside the center cupholder of the vehicle. No other contraband was located in the vehicle. DS Bone also advised me she did not have her license on her person and did not know where it was. The vehicle was then towed by Orrs wrecker service and she was taken to Coweta County Jail. She was turned over to jail staff while I obtained a blood search warrant which was signed by the honorable Judge Wyant.
While at the jail she was advised of the search warrant and resisted medical staff refusing to comply with the warrant causing jail staff to place her in the emergency restraint chair. Her blood was then drawn by paramedic [REDACTED] CCFD on 05/11/26 at 0542 hours. The blood kit will be placed into evidence to be sent to the GBI for blood analysis.
