On February 19th, 2026, I, Sgt., K. Daniel #097 responded to 280 Bridgeport Pkwy (Amazon) in reference to public indecency.
When I arrived on scene, at the entrance of the Amazon parking lot, there was a back male walking towards my patrol vehicle with no clothes on, fully naked and screaming. I asked 911 if [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was available where they advised no, but did advised EMS was enroute to the location.
Once I noticed the male walking in my direction, I stopped my patrol vehicle and got out of my car and advised the male to stop walking. The male stopped walking, and I began to interview the male to see why he was naked. While speaking with the male, he started to walk toward me again, I then asked to sit on the front of my car where he complied.
While continuing to speak with the male I began to ask him for his name. The male stated his last name was Atkins, Dontre. I asked him for his date of birth and Atkins started blurting out random phrases. I repeated to ask Atkins for his date of birth, where he then stood up and began to run away from me, yelling, in front of several Amazon employee’s.
I got back in my patrol vehicle with my lights and siren activated I went after Atkins. Myself and Sgt. Freeland boxed in Atkins. On approach to place the Atkins in handcuffs, he started rolling around, completely naked in front of several Amazon employees. Sgt. Freeland and myself where able to detain Atkins where he was placed under arrest for obstruction, disorderly conduct and public indecency.
While speaking with staff at Amazon they advised before we arrived on scene Atkins was chasing his co-workers in the parking lot in his naked state. The security team advised they attempted to detain Atkins prior to Sheriff’s Office arrival, but he was running naked in the parking lot in a frantic manner, screaming and rolling around on the ground.
I transported Atkins to the county jail for his charges.
