On August 5, 2026, Deputy Gregg was dispatched to 1645 S. Highway 29 (Pilot) in reference to disorderly conduct.

Once on scene, I noticed two Pilot workers [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] walking towards the back side of Pilot. I was able to make contact with the Mr. [WITNESS #1], and Mrs [WITNESS #2] who advised that the male needed to go; he was stating that he would kill his wife in the store. Once on the side of the Pilot, both workers pointed the male out; the offender (MCFADDEN, EDDIE) who was talking to a truck driver that was trying to leave.

I advised Mr. McFadden to come here, which he was hesitant to do, then stated: “I have to boo boo”. Mr. McFadden stated, “My wife and I were arguing because her son stole from me”. I advised Mr. McFadden to get out of the road and come talk to me. Mr. McFadden kept trying to walk away, stating, “My wife and I were arguing because her son stole from me. I have to boo boo; I didn’t hit her or nothing.”

I advised Mr. McFadden to stand by the wall, and he started reaching in the front of his waistband. I told Mr. McFadden to get his hands from his waistband, which Mr. McFadden then disobeyed my order. Mr. McFadden then placed his back on the wall and started to put his hands on the side of his pants and started pulling his pants down.

Mr. McFadden then started to put his hands on the side of him under his shirt. I pulled out my department-issued taser and told Mr. McFadden to take his hands out of his pants and show me his hands. Mr. McFadden then showed both of his hands, and I advised him to place his hands behind his back and that he was being detained at this point. Mr. McFadden advised that he didn’t do anything to her; they were just arguing because her son stole from him and she didn’t “check him”.

I advised Mr. McFadden to stand by with D/S Lyles so I could speak with the victim. Once inside, I was able to make contact with the General Manager, [WITNESS #3]. Ms. [WITNESS #3] advised that the victim was in the office and walked me back to her. Once with the victim [REDACTED BY AGENCY], I asked what was going on today. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that they were in an altercation earlier when they got pulled over.

Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that when they arrived at the Pilot, she got out to get her husband food; he started yelling to everyone that he would kill her. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that once she went into the store, Mr. McFadden followed her into the store, still threatening to kill her. Ms. [WITNESS #3] then advised Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to go to her office to get away from Mr. McFadden at this point until police arrived.

Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that she and Mr. McFadden have been together for five years and married for one year. While speaking with the GM, Ms. [WITNESS #3] advised that Mr. McFadden was causing too much of a scene in her place of business, and that the threats that were made are the reason she pulled Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] into her office.

Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY], as well as most of the Polit staff, was asked if they would fill out a witness statement form in reference to what they have noticed. I advised dispatch that I will be placing Mr. McFadden under arrest. Once back at the vehicle, I advised Mr. McFadden that he was under arrest. Mr. McFadden stated that he was having a heart attack and needed to go to the Hospital. I advised dispatch to start EMS to my location to check on Mr. McFadden. EMS advised that Mr. McFadden was fine and all of his vitals were clear for him to go to the jail.

Mr. McFadden continued to complain of chest, back, knee, and neck pain. I advised dispatch that I would be transporting Mr. McFadden to Piedmont Newnan for medical clearance. Once at Piedmont Newnan, the doctor ordered multiple tests; they determined that he was medically cleared. Mr. McFadden was transported to Coweta County Jail and turned over to staff.

Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was provided a case number and a victim notification form. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that this is not the first time that this has happened, but law enforcement wasn’t called. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY], as well as Pilot staff, all filled out witness statement forms, and they will be entered into RMS for court.
