On Friday, March 03, 2026, at approximately 2300 hours, I was dispatched to the incident address in reference to criminal trespass.
Upon dispatch, 911 advised an Indian male, later identified as Sachin Perumal, was outside the door of a residence that he was given a criminal trespass warning at 1815 hours to leave the property and not to return. Perumal returned to the residence and was loudly knocking on the door attempting to make entry. The residence in question is an alcoholic half-way house. Perumal was intoxicated and was asked to leave by the director at 1815 hours. Dep. Anduha gave Perumal the warning at that time. Perumal was placed under arrest for criminal trespass.
With Perumal was a white male, identified as Jerry Lane, who was also very intoxicated, began loudly screaming at deputies and began having an anxiety attack. Lane threw his cell phone at another resident. Lane was detained in handcuffs to protect himself from injury. EMS was requested to evaluate Lane. Lane did calm down and was told to stand to walk downstairs to meet EMS. Lane resisted by wrapping his feet and leg around the railing. Lane was then informed he was under arrest for disorderly conduct and public drunk. Both were transported to the Coweta County Jail where custody was relinquished to jail staff.
