On 10/25/25 Officer Poythress and Cpl Dalton responded to a call in reference to a shooting at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Boone Dr.

While other Officer responded to the address, Cpl Dalton and Poythress met with the two victims at DJ Groceries (140 W Washington St) to obtain their statements.

Upon arrival, a vehicle was observed having multiple bullet holes in it. Both victims stated that the shooter [REDACTED BY AGENCY] problems as well as other issues prior to the incident. One of the victims stated that they did fire back once in self defense. The shooter fled and has not yet been captured.

No one was injured. Detectives were called to the scene where evidence was collected and pictures were taken of the car.

Both victims were provided with a case card as well as instructions on how to receive a copy of the report.
