On 4-23-2026 at approximately 2350 hours, I Cpl. Phillips was patrolling the area behind Food Depot off of Bullsboro Dr when I observed a fire in the woods. I requested another Officer to meet with me before attempting to make contact. Once Officer Dockery was out with me we walked into the woods making contact with a white male that was later identified as Justin Wallace. During the investigation it was determined that Mr. Wallace is the same person who started a large fire earlier in the day across the street that got out of control. Mr. Wallace was given a warning by Sgt Jordan and Newnan Fire Capt Rosser, for the first fire.

Due to Mr. Wallace creating another fire in the woods, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I decided to arrest him for reckless conduct. As I attempted to place Mr. Wallace under arrest he snatched away from me and fled on foot deeper into the woods. After a brief foot pursuit I lost visual of Mr. Wallace. [REDACTED BY AGENCY]
