On April 19 2022, I DS Anduha was dispatched with DS K. Claycomb to [10 BLOCK] Heritage Trce in reference to a dispute.

Upon our arrival I made contact with [VICTIM #1] DOB: [REDACTED BY AGENCY]1966. He informed us that his soon to be ex-wife came home and began yelling at him and being antagonistic. [VICTIM #1] stated that he suspected that his wife was under the influence of some sort of impairing substance.

DS Claycomb and myself entered the residence and made contact with [VICTIM #1]’s wife Lori Shenning DOB: [REDACTED BY AGENCY]1973. While speaking with Lori trying to get her side of the incident, she would respond with delayed responses that were hard to understand from her due to her speaking so quietly. Lori had admitted to drinking in the evening and drove to her and her husband’s house.

I instructed Lori to stand up for me to conduct test so that I could see if she was in good condition to drive. I instructed for Lori to place her feet together and her hands down to her side. While speaking with Lori face to face I began to smell the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath.

I instructed Lori to look at the tip of my finger and follow it with her eyes and eyes only. While conducting equal tracking Lori began following the tip of my finger turning her head in the direction my finger was going. I instructed her to follow the tip of my finger with her eyes and eyes only again. While conducted equal tracking she again followed the tip of my finger turning her head in the direction my finger was going. I explained to Lori again to follow the tip of my finger with her eyes and eyes only and she was finally able to do so. While conducting equal tracking I observed Lori’s eyes were bloodshot and watery.

I began conducting field sobriety and the results are as followed:

Horizontal Gaze and Nystagmus: Lack of smooth pursuit not detected, Distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation in both eyes and onset of nystagmus to 45 degrees in both eyes.

Walk and Turn: Could not balance during the instruction phase, started too soon, at the 9th step conducted an incorrect turn, at 9th step stopped walking.

One leg Stand: No points were obtained in this portion.

While speaking with Lori after my test were completed. She stated that she had a few gin and tonics at Art and Jakes. Lori then stated that she drove to Taco Mac and stayed there for some time but could not recall what she had to drink other than sprite. Lori then decided to drive to her husband’s residence at [10 BLOCK] Heritage Trce. Lori did not state how long she had been at the residence or if she contiued drinking alcoholic beverages while at the residence.

I placed Lori into custody and read implied consent to Lori from the card I was issued and requested consent for her blood. To which Lori stated that she did consent. I transported Lori to Fire Station I to conduct the blood draw. While transporting Lori to the Station I Lori stated that her blood will probably come back over the legal limit.

Once at Station I Phlebotomist [REDACTED] conducted the blood draw. Once the blood draw was completed I transported Lori to the Coweta County Jail and turned custody of her and her property over to jail staff.

Audio and video was captured on my BWC.
