On 06/28/2026 while working a Part Time at Piedmont Newnan Hospital, I was notified by Sgt. Weaver that there was a sexual offense victim en-route to the hospital. He notified me that the victim, identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was on Medic 03’s ambulance.
When Medic 03 arrived, I met with Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY], where she stated that she and her on again, off again boyfriend who she identified as Mark Manley, had gotten a hotel room at 1310 S Hwy 29 lastnight. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that her and Mark had had consensual sexual intercourse lastnight. She stated that they woke up this morning at approx. 0900 hours and had consensual intercourse again, then went back to sleep. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that at approx. 1000 hours, Mark woke up and reached for a bag of marijuana. She stated that Mark claimed that the bag was open and accused Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] of stealing from him.
Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she told Mark that she didn’t take anything that belonged to him. She stated that Mark called a woman named [REDACTED] to come over to fight her. She stated that she did not know [REDACTED]’s last name. She stated that she tried to leave the hotel, but Mark got in front of the door and told her she wasn’t leaving. She stated that he then grabbed his firearm and told her that he wanted to have sexual intercourse again. She stated that she didn’t want to because of the argument. She then stated that Mark asked her “If I put this gun to your head, will you take your clothes off?” She stated that she told him no again.
Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he then pointed the firearm at her chest, told her to get on the bed and take her clothing off. She stated that she feared for her life, so she complied. She stated that he kept the firearm pointed at her as he forced himself on her for non-consensual intercourse. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Mark had ejaculated inside of her vagi*a both times that they had intercourse today. After Mark had finished, Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he put the firearm down and they both got dressed. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] described the firearm as a compact pistol with a silver upper receiver and a black lower receiver, but was unable to fully identify it.
Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then stated that she drove Mark home to his address at [300 BLOCK] Niles St in Lagrange GA. After she dropped him off, she went to her sister’s house in Newnan, where her sister called 911 to report the incident. Ms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated did not know Mark’s birthday, and I was unable to obtain his phone number.
Due to the nature of the of the complaint, Sgt. Weaver called CIU investigators Izzo and Stapler out to the hospital to speak with her, and the scene was turned over to them.
