On Thursday, May 28, 2026, I, Ofc. N. Tarbunas, responded to the area of [2000 BLOCK] Newnan Crossing Blvd East Apt [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a subject armed.

Prior to arrival, E911 advised there was a white male with dark hair outside of apartment [REDACTED BY AGENCY] with a gun and the callers son was now wrestling with the armed suspect. The caller, later identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY], advised that she does not know the male suspect that her son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was fighting over a firearm with at this time. Note that there was an additional E911 call regarding this incident from another party on scene who advised she was downstairs, in the car, but other parties were upstairs and “they were both yelling really loud”.

Upon arrival, I heard yelling coming from the stairwell of the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] building, then observed a white male with dark hair, glasses, and no shirt on, running down the stairs, where he opened the door and reached into the driver’s seat of a black in color Hyundai Kona with the Georgia tag of [REDACTED].

I yelled to the male to exit the vehicle and to show me his hands, as he appeared to either be hiding something, or making an attempt to leave the scene. The male, later identified as Nathaniel Pacheco, exited the vehicle and turned his attention to my investigation. Note that I observed a female sitting in the front passenger side of the black in color Hyundai at this time.

Pacheco advised that he did not have the firearm on his person, that it was upstairs in the apartment, with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who took it from him. According to Pacheco, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] ([REDACTED BY AGENCY]), and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] ([REDACTED BY AGENCY]) were also upstairs with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] during this incident.

Pacheco then stated that he arrived on scene to “pick up her shoes and told him not to fu*k “[REDACTED BY AGENCY]”, when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then “threatened” Pacheco, telling Pacheco to get out of his house. The female, Pacheco’s [REDACTED BY AGENCY] identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then exited the Hyundai, informing me that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] is her cousin, but could not advise his last name or a phone number, stating that they communicate through Instagram.

Pacheco then stated “this is like the third time that they saw each other and he decided to make love to her”. Pacheco, also advising that when he went upstairs to go get [REDACTED BY AGENCY] belongings, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] took Pachecos .45 caliber handgun, loaded the firearm, and pointed it at him, stating to get out of his house and “get away from my family”.

While awaiting backup to arrive, I continued to try to make sense of the jumbled information that was being provided, but only managed to get bits and pieces. Upon the arrival of other Officers, we approached apartment [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in an attempt to make contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who apparently has the firearm at this time. Once [REDACTED BY AGENCY], [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] exited the residence, I swiftly searched the outer clothing of each subject for weapons with none to be located.

During this time, other Officers on scene along with Deputies from the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office searched the residence, where they located a .45 caliber Rock Island Armory handgun [REDACTED BY AGENCY] that had already been made safe, with the bullet and magazine no longer in the weapon.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] began by advising that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] came over to his residence earlier that morning while [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was at work because he had court later on in the day and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] wanted to attend “to see how it went down”. Once [REDACTED BY AGENCY] arrived home and saw an unknown female ([REDACTED BY AGENCY], [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s cousin) in her residence, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to get out of her house.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that he could not “confirm or deny” that he had sex with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] while she was in his home, but believed Pacheco knocked on his front door and pointed a firearm at him out of “jealousy”. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then stated that when Pacheco observed the firearm pointed at him from Pachecos waist band, he then grabbed the muzzle of the gun, removing the firearm from Pachecos person and throwing it, while continuing to hold Pacheco before he broke free.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that he was in fear for his life as he knew of Pacheco from school but did not truly know him and was unsure why he opened his apartment door to have a firearm pointed at him. Note that I did observe [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to have unsteady hands and began to tear up while expressing his fear.

I then went back downstairs in an attempt to separate parties to get a more clear version of the story from Pacheco and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Pacheco was handcuffed behind the back, double locked and checked for proper fitness prior to me arriving downstairs. Pacheco was then searched incident to arrest by Ofc. Bingham, placed in the backseat of his patrol vehicle, and buckled in for transport to the Coweta County Jail for booking.

As I now had [REDACTED BY AGENCY] away from [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Pacheco, I attempted to get a better understanding of the dynamic of the situation as she advised she has only known Pacheco for three weeks and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Additionally, Sgt. Warren advised me that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] currently has an active [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. At this time, I read [REDACTED BY AGENCY] her Miranda rights and she agreed to continue speaking to me at this time.

[SECTION REDACTED BY AGENCY]

The scene was then turned over to Detective Gonzalez who continued his investigation while I relocated to the Coweta County Jail for Charges.

Upon completion of charges, the firearm was placed into evidence.

Additionally, note that the vehicle was turned over to Pachecos roommate, [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
