COWETA COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities arrested a 66-year-old Newnan man on September 11, 2024, for sexually assaulting an emergency medical worker while she helped him. Steven Michael Anderson was charged with sexual battery and probation violation and transported to the Coweta County Jail.

The 24-year-old victim explained to the Coweta County Sheriff’s deputy that she responded to a medical call on Yorkshire Place and met with Anderson, whose left arm was bleeding. As she assisted him into the ambulance and attempted to take his blood pressure, he repeatedly told her, “You’re cute.”

When her partner walked to the front of the vehicle, Anderson grabbed both her breasts and told her again that she was cute. She immediately walked away, fearful of what he “would do next.”

Her partner noticed she was crying and asked what had happened. He took over the call while she drove to Piedmont Newnan.

The deputy spoke with Anderson, who stated, “F*ck you; I didn’t do sh*t. I need a nurse now. All I did is say she was cute; that’s it.” He told the deputy he did not want to speak.

The victim confirmed that she was in fear for her life and would like to press charges. The deputy detained Anderson after the hospital medically cleared him.

This case is pending.
