On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at approximately 23:34 hours I, D.S. J. Conley (162), was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to an assault.

While enroute I was advised the caller wanted to meet at 2 Church Street, Coweta County Fire Station 4. On arrival I met with Paul Carroll. He stated his wife, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], had attacked him while they were having an argument. Paul said his son failed school and he had an argument with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] about it earlier in the week. The argument culminated in Paul saying he wanted a divorce. The two continued arguing on and off for the next few days.

On the date of this report, Paul told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] he wanted a divorce again. After hearing this, she began swinging at Paul. He said she hit him on the right side of his face about three times. After she started attacking him, he left due to prior incidents the couple had. Paul then made his way to Station 4 and called 911. He advised me that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had a history of lying about things prior to me speaking with her. We drove to his address so I could speak with her.

After arriving at their address, I met with [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. She stated the argument started because Paul asked her for a sexual favor and she refused to do it. She took a shower and the couple started arguing again after she finished. During the argument [REDACTED BY AGENCY] called Paul a fag. When he heard this, he shoved her against the wall and began choking her with his left hand. She said she was able to shove him off and walk away. She threatened to call the police and Paul got in his vehicle and left.

Photos were taken of Paul at Station 4. He had a small cut under his right eye he said was most likely from where [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had been hitting him. Paul also had various cuts on his hands and arms that looked to be old. Photos of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were taken at their residence. She had a small red circular mark on behind her right ear and another mark on the right side of her neck. She also had various scratches on her arms and hands that looked to be old. I was not able to locate the knot on the top of her head she said was from being shoved against the wall.

Paul and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] children were both on scene at the time of the incident but were sleeping. Both [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were sleeping on the couch in the living room. Paul and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] both stated the incident occurred in their bedroom. No damage was observed in their room. The couple was advised to separate for the night.

While later reviewing photos of the incident with Sgt. T. Lamb (109), he pointed out that the marking on the right side of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] neck looked like a hand print. I noticed that some of the wounds on Paul’s arms looked newer and possibly from someone recently scratching at them. Due to this, I attempted to return to the area and arrest Paul for Aggravated Assault by Strangulation. I was unable to locate him and will obtain a warrant for his arrest.

I was able to find two prior incidents between the two on RMS involving the couple. One was 2509000621 where Paul was accusing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] of threatening to attack him. The second was 2405000003 where [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said Paul had toe a door off the hinges during an argument they were having. Paul also had multiple arrests in the past for battery, aggravated stalking, and cruelty to children.

A case card was left with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] prior to my departure.
