On Saturday, August 22, 2026, at approximately 1618 hours, I responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to unknown trouble. Shortly before arriving, the dispatcher told me that a male had just come through the door and pinned another man down.
I arrived on scene and spoke to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who was standing in the driveway sweating and out of breath. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] is clearly disabled, noticeable by the way he struggles walking and stands. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told me that his ex-wife’s boyfriend, Paul Peterson, had come home drunk and was messing with him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says that he was working out in the garage, which he lives in, and Paul came up to him, held up fists and asked him if he wanted to fight, which [REDACTED BY AGENCY] declined and asked Paul to leave him alone. Paul left and then came back.
This time, he came up to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] while he was doing push ups and pinned him on the ground by his couch. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says that Paul reared his fist back as if he was going to hit him, which made him think that his life was in danger. [WITNESS #1], [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s ex-wife, who he and Paul also live with, came downstairs and started pulling Paul off of [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Paul then got in his black 2006-2007 Ford pickup truck with a lift, mud tires, and white 4×4 decals on the side and left before I arrived.
I spoke to [WITNESS #1] and she told me that she did not see how the fight started but that she heard [REDACTED BY AGENCY] tell Paul many times to leave him alone. She came downstairs and found Paul pinning [REDACTED BY AGENCY] down by his couch and she had to pull him off of [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] says that this happens a lot while [WITNESS #1] says that it is not that common. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was given a case card and explained his options. A Be On the Look Out was issued for Paul’s truck description. Units were advised to use extra caution due to Paul training at American Top Team.
