On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, Sergeant Gibson, responded to 140 Pylant Street at the “Stone Lodge” located in the city limits of Senoia, Coweta County, Georgia in reference to a non-family dispute. While en route, Coweta County 911 advised one subject was struck in the face and both parties were still on scene.
Upon Sergeant Gibson’s arrival in the area, he observed an older white male standing in the parking lot appearing to have an injury to his face. Upon closer look, Sergeant Gibson observed what appeared to be blood dripping from his nose onto the front of his shirt. Sergeant Gibson made contact with this subject and identified him as Mr. Ralph Schiavone. When asked, Mr. Schiavone stated he was here for a Home Owner’s Association (HOA) meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Schiavone stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] started being disrespectful to his wife causing him to stand up from the meeting, walk over to Mr. [VICTIM #1] and say “Lets take this outside” in order to “stick up” for his wife. Mr. Schiavone went on to say he was “old school” and told Mr. [VICTIM #1] several times for them to “take this outside”. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was said to have then stood up and “swing” at Mr. Schiavone causing a physical altercation to ensue. When asked, Mr. Schiavone refused any on scene medical treatment.
After speaking with Mr. Schiavone, Sergeant Gibson walked over to where Mr. [VICTIM #1] was standing. While walking, several citizens made the comment that Mr. Schiavone started the altercation. All the witnesses appeared to be upset and disappointed with Mr. Schiavone for acting in the manner he did.
Sergeant Gibson met with Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he was attending the HOA meeting and was approached by Mr. Schiavone while he was still sitting down. Mr. [VICTIM #1] said Mr. Schiavone made the comment to “take this outside”. Mr. [VICTIM #1] said he brushed off the comment several times. Mr. Schiavone was said to have continued his comment as Mr. [VICTIM #1] stood up. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated as he was standing up he was pushed by Mr. Schiavone causing him to defend himself leading to a physical altercation. When asked, Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he wanted to press charges.
Witness Ms. [WITNESS #1], corroborated Mr. [VICTIM #1]’ statement. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated Mr. Schiavone got up from his seat and walked over to where Mr. [VICTIM #1] was sitting. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated Mr. Schiavone began hovering over Mr. [VICTIM #1] while telling him to “lets take this outside”. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated after several “lets take this outside” comments, Mr. Schiavone then pushed Mr. [VICTIM #1] leading to a physical altercation.
After speaking with both parties and a witness to the incident, Sergeant Gibson made contact with Mr. Schiavone again and advised him he was under arrest for disorderly conduct. Due to Mr. Schiavone’s age and injury, he was placed in properly fitted double locked handcuffs to the front. Mr. Schiavone was secured with a seatbelt in the rear of Sergeant Gibson’s assigned patrol vehicle, #222.
Once Mr. Schiavone was secured the in rear of Sergeant Gibson’s patrol vehicle, he turned and overheard a conversation between Mr. Schiavone’s wife, Ms. [REDACTED], and Mr. [WITNESS #2]. Mr. [WITNESS #2] was explaining to Ms. [REDACTED] that her husband was the one at fault and who started the entire physical altercation. This conversation was caught on Sergeant Gibson’s body worn camera.
Mr. Schiavone was then transported to the Coweta County Jail where a WAA (RS25051849) was generated and notarized for O.C.G.A. 16-11-39 Disorderly Conduct. The rear of Sergeant Gibson’s patrol vehicle was checked prior to and after transport. No contraband was located.
This case is cleared by arrest.
