On March 7,2025, at approximately 2215 hours, I was flagged down at the BP on South highway 29 by an old black male regarding a domestic issue.

I spoke to the gentleman and identified him as Mr. Johnny Grier. Mr. Grier stated he had gotten into an argument with his step father, Mr. Robert Parks, and Mr. Parks pulled a shotgun on him and fired it into the ceiling inside the house.

I escorted Mr. Grier back to his residence at [1100 BLOCK] South Highway 29 and attempted to make contact with Mr. Parks.

When Mr. Parks came to the door, I asked him what happened. Mr. Parks, stated that Mr. Grier, is his wife’s adult son who lived in the small residence on the property behind the house. Mr. Grier is always inebriated and comes in the house “causing a scene”. On this occasion, Mr. Parks told Mr. Grier that he was drunk and told him to leave his house and go back to his area. Mr. Grier then refused and told him to “Make Me” and grabbed a golf club.

Mr. Parks, being physically disabled, did not want to fight with Mr. Grier so he retrieved a shotgun and again told Mr. Grier to leave the residence. When Mr. Grier still didn’t comply, Mr. Parks fired one round from his shotgun into the air striking the wall and the ceiling in the house.

At that time, Mr. Grier left the house and headed for the BP where he made contact with me.

I went to attempt to confirm the events that took place with Mr. Grier. When asked if he picked up a golf club, Mr. Grier first stated he did not pick up a golf club, then changed his story, stating he did, before finally stating he doesn’t remember if he did or not.

Upon observing Mr. Grier’s demeanor, the odor of alcoholic beverage was coming from his person, he speech was slurred and he continued to repeat the same statements continuously.

Based upon my interviews of both Mr. Parks and Mr. Grier, both were placed under arrest. And transported to the Coweta County Jail, where custody was transferred to Jail staff without incident.

Mr. Parks was charged with Reckless conduct, and Mr. Grier was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
