On 10-16-11, I spoke with a [REDACTED BY AGENCY] [REDACTED], and she stated that her son, [VICTIM #1] age 17, is missing. He was spending the night at a friend’s house, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at [100 BLOCK] Highwood PKWY. She was advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her that [VICTIM #1] left his house around 2:00am. I spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY], [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s father, who was out looking for [VICTIM #1] also. He stated that [VICTIM #1] left his house around 5:00am, because his wife [REDACTED BY AGENCY] got on to him for sneaking in the house.
I spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY], [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s the girlfriend of [VICTIM #1] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] are her parents. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that [VICTIM #1] came over to the house around 2:00am. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she caught [VICTIM #1] in the house. She stated that [VICTIM #1] went out the bedroom window. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that [VICTIM #1] texted her between 5:00am and 5:30am, say that he was sorry for disobeying her. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that [VICTIM #1] was texting her when he stopped and stated that police was stopping him. She said he texted her again and advised them that the police got on to him for being out pass curfew. Than he texted and stated that he was trying to buy him a monster drink. That was the last time they heard from him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she be texting him all morning but he has not text her back.
The clerk at BP on Market Sq. stated that he saw [VICTIM #1] around 7:30am. He stated that [VICTIM #1] asked him, what time the store opens. He stated that he advised him, 8:00am. He stated that [VICTIM #1] turned and walked way, unknown direction of traveling.
We called the jail and the hospital, negative contact with [VICTIM #1] at this time.
[VICTIM #1], dob [REDACTED BY AGENCY]1994, age 17, 5’9 125lbs, afro reddish curly hair, piercing bottom lip, “Playboy” tattoo on left side upper chest, wearing a gray jacket with a hood, unknown pants and shoes. Last seen Market Sq. and Lowerfayette Rd. Girlfriend lives at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]
[VICTIM #1] cellphone number is [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Called the phone number and it went to a Verizon message stating that the number is unavailable at this time. Also, I spoke with [VICTIM #1] stepfather, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and he stated that some employees at Quick Trip and stated that they saw that subject in the store around 9:30am….
ADDITIONAL:
***On 12/19/2011 at 3:37 pm, Coweta 911 recieved a call from a passerby that they thought there was a body in the creek near the bridge on Summergrove Pkwy. Police rsponded to the area and did locate and determine a body in the creek which appeared to be a white male [REDACTED BY AGENCY] The body was transported to the GBI Crime lab for examination. No identification was located on or around the body.
A check of missing person reports was coducted and a report (2011-10-0164) of a missing 17 year old white male, that fit the general description of the body, was located. Contact with the missing person’s family was made in an attempt to obtain additional information to determine if the body was that of the missing person that had been reported.
On 12/21/2011 an autopsy was performed by the GBI Crime Lab and revealed that the casue of death was a [REDACTED BY AGENCY] There was also [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and a [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Based on the that information along with the information provided by the family the person has been identified as [VICTIM #1], listed in this original missing person report.
In light of the evidence that has been produced the investigation has changed from a missing person incident to a homicide investigation. Case investigation on-going.
