On October 24, 2025 I, Ofc. Ruck, responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Lovelace St. Newnan, GA 30263 regarding a dispute. Once on scene I observed several things thrown into the front yard, and I met with Terry Long and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] regarding the incident.
Upon speaking with Long it became clear he was highly intoxicated, as he struggled to walk normally and was slurring his speech. Long mumbled several times about someone was jealous about him being with someone else. Long eventually advised himself and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] got into an altercation and had pushed each other around but that he was defending himself. Long later advised he had thrown the stuff out because he was mad at himself.
Ofc. Mcgraw spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who advised Long had pointed his finger in her face and then hit her in the mouth and that is when she started hitting on him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised Long then eventually started throwing stuff out into the yard and hit on a neighbors car.
I placed Long in handcuffs behind his back, checked for fit and double locked them. I completed a search incident to arrest on Long and no illegal contraband was found. Long was placed in the rear of my patrol vehicle, officers were unable to safety belt him in as he would not sit still and kept moving around. I transported Long to the Coweta County Jail, and before entering the jail I completed an additional search incident to arrest and no illegal contraband was found. Long was then turned over to booking officers.
Long was not charged with battery due to conflicting statements and no visible markings.
