On 10/24/2025 at approximately 1036 hours,Officers Poythress and Nix responded to [400 BLOCK] Jefferson St. for an unknown trouble call.

Upon arrival Officers Mcghee and Townsend were already on scene, and had already made contact with Tierra Smith, who was screaming at another female in the breeze way. Officer Mcghee was giving Smith several commands to calm down and explain the situation to him. Smith continuously screamed and yelled stating that there was nothing to talk about, she just wanted her children’s belongings. Mcghee explain to her that she could not go back into the house until we could figure out what was going on.

Smith walked past Mcghee and I, as if she was going after her child who had just ran past us, and instead, Smith went back inside the apartment. Mcghee and I then escorted Smith back outside, where she was then placed in hand cuffs by Officer Townsend who double locked them, checked for fit, and placed in the back of his patrol vehicle.

While attempting to gather Smith’s belongings from her vehicle, Officers Mcghee and Townsend did locate two green marijuana cigarettes (blunts), sitting next to her gear shift, able to be observed from outside the vehicle in plain view

Smith was searched by Officer Poythress on scene and once again at the jail.
