On July 3, 2026, at approximately 2339 hours, I, Deputy Lee, was dispatched to the area of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] about a male firing a rifle into the air, chasing two males, and driving erratically in a Dodge Challenger.

Upon arriving in the cul-de-sac where the male was seen, Deputy McCusker, Sergeant Thompson, and I began searching the area when Deputy McCusker found a male lying on his back in the front yard of [200 BLOCK] Riverstone Drive with a RAS47 rifle in his possession. The male complied with all commands but did not speak. The rifle was taken to my patrol vehicle and placed in my trunk. I inspected the rifle and found that there was a round in the chamber and the magazine was missing at least two rounds. The unidentified male was placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle after being handcuffed. The immediate area around the male was searched for empty shell casings, but nothing was found.

The cul-de-sac was covered in debris and trash from families shooting fireworks. There were coolers, canopies, and lawn chairs on one side of the cul-de-sac. Black tire marks circled the perimeter of the cul-de-sac and led back to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] where a black Dodge Challenger was parked displaying Georgia tag [REDACTED]. This tag was given to 911, who later informed us the Challenger belonged to Vitaly Aleksandrov. Sergeant Thompson made contact with Vitaly’s wife, [REDACTED], who stated that she did not know that her husband had done anything.

While continuing to check the front yard, we were approached by the neighbor, [WITNESS #1], at [200 BLOCK] Riverstone Drive. [WITNESS #1] stated that he knew Vitaly and this was completely out of character for him. [WITNESS #1] provided a video through an Axon Community Request showing Vitaly walking through his yard with the rifle as if he was looking for someone.

As I finished speaking with [WITNESS #1], Sergeant Thompson located 2 victims at [200 BLOCK] Riverstone Drive. The two victims, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had been out in the cul-de-sac for the evening shooting fireworks with other families in the neighborhood. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated the following about what occurred at approximately 2330 hours on July 3, 2026. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was standing in front of [200 BLOCK] Riverstone Drive and had seen Vitaly come out of his home after all the fireworks were done.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] believed that Vitaly and his wife had been arguing due to Vitaly’s demeanor. Vitaly then got into his black Dodge Challenger and drove up the street at a high rate of speed. He sat at the top of the hill for approximately 5 minutes before doing a donut in the cul-de-sac and reversing into his driveway at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. After parking the vehicle, approximately one minute later, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] heard noises that sounded like gunfire and looked to see Vitaly holding a rifle walking toward him, telling him to come to him.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] began telling Vitaly that it was not funny and to stop, but Vitaly continued. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then began to retreat to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] home at [200 BLOCK] Riverstone Drive, but were continuously pursued, still continuing to yell for Vitaly to stop. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] fell over the fire hydrant, causing a small wound to his right leg. The two then ran into [REDACTED BY AGENCY] garage, at which point [REDACTED BY AGENCY] attempted to close the garage by pressing the button. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] heard the garage start to close but stop when Vitaly triggered the laser, which caused the garage to open again.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then went to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] safe and began to get firearms to defend themselves. Upon coming back upstairs, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was met by his wife who was breathing heavily stating that Vitaly was hiding in the corner between their garages with a rifle waiting for [REDACTED BY AGENCY] wife had approached Vitaly and told him that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had left and gone toward the beginning of the neighborhood.

After hearing this recollection of the events, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] both filled out witness statement forms. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was given a case card with a case number. I was able to find out that the caller was located at [200 BLOCK] Riverstone Drive, but after speaking to him on the phone, he refused to give any statement.

Sergeant Thompson and Deputy McCusker were continuing to search for any empty casings while I got the full statements from the victims. Sergeant Thompson located a handgun inside the Dodge Challenger and gave it to me to place into evidence.

The Criminal Investigations Unit was contacted by Lieutenant Fausett, and Investigator Marlowe responded to assist in the investigation. After speaking with Investigator Marlowe on the phone, he stated he would be taking care of all criminal charges and that I could transport Vitaly to the Coweta County Jail.

Vitaly’s rifle, magazines, and handgun were logged into evidence.
