On 6/17/2026 at 1010 hours, I, Deputy M. Walker, was dispatched to the area of Herring Road and Bullsboro Drive in reference to a Hit and Run with injuries.
While en route to the crash, Coweta County Dispatch was advised that a White Jeep Grand Cherokee had struck the rear of a White Honda Accord. An independent witness observed the White Jeep Grand Cherokee make a U-Turn and travel Northbound on Herring Road towards Bledsoe Road. The witness observed the driver as a Black Female. The damage to the vehicle was the passenger side front headlight area due to it being a rear end collision.
While checking FLOCK, I discovered a White Jeep Grand Cherokee bearing [REDACTED] traveling Northbound on Herring Road at Bledsoe Road at 10:09 hours. While running the vehicle through GCIC, it was discovered the vehicle did not have insurance and it also had suspended registration. The registered owner of the vehicle, Willeese Latrell Rout-Jackson also had a suspended license.
Units canvassed the area but were unable to locate the vehicle. I met with the victim, [VICTIM #1], where she recounted the series of events and stated that her head was hurting due to the crash. I collected photographs of [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle and uploaded them to AXON. [VICTIM #1] was evaluated by EMS where she refused to be transported. The independent witness provided the dash camera footage of the events but it did not observe the crash, just the Jeep leave the scene.
Around 1354 hours, Deputy Scott located the vehicle traveling Westbound on Bullsboro Dr approaching Herring Road. Deputy Scott conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle where the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Willeese was taken into custody for Hit and Run, Driving on a Suspended License, No proof of insurance, and driving a vehicle with suspended registration.
I arrived on scene and took possession of Willeese and read her Miranda Rights. After reading her rights to Willeese, she agreed to speak with me. Willeese stated she understood why she was arrested. I asked Willeese why she left the scene of the crash. Willeese stated that the other individual did not move and Willeese believed there was no damage so she left the scene.
I asked Willeese where she went after the crash. Willeese informed me that she went to eat at “Let’s Talk Bruch” located at 226 Greenville Street South Ste H. Willeese then went to get a wax and then went to go get a new phone. Willeese was then driving around until she was stopped by Deputy Scott.
Next list wrecker, Baxter’s Towing arrived on scene and took possession of Willeese’s vehicle. Due to being involved in a motor vehicle crash, Willeese was transported to Piedmont Newnan for a medical clearance. Once cleared from the hospital, Willeese was transported to the Coweta County Jail where she was turned over to jail staff without issue.
Photographs of both vehicles where contact was made as well as the dash camera footage was uploaded to AXON under the same case number.
