On July 19, 2023, at approximately 1904 hours, Sergeant Jordan Phillips and Sergeant Edwin Harvey responded to the area of River Oaks Road and Spring Creek Road in reference to an altercation. While en route, Deputies were advised that the victim was located at [300 BLOCK] River Oaks Drive.
Sgt. Phillips and Sgt. Harvey arrived at [300 BLOCK] River Oaks Drive and made contact with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that he and [WITNESS #1] was turning into the River Oaks Subdivision when they passed Joey McMillan on his motorcycle, exiting the neighborhood. [VICTIM #1] stated that McMillan turned around and attempted to run the vehicle he was driving off the road. [VICTIM #1] stated that [WITNESS #1] yelled at McMillan and then an altercation ensued between [WITNESS #1] and McMillan. [VICTIM #1] stated that his neighbor told him that he observed McMillan riding up and down River Oaks Dr. multiple times.
Later this date, Sgt. Phillips made contact with McMillan and asked him about the altercation. McMillan told Sgt. Phillips that he was already inside River Oaks Subdivision due to him going to look at an ATV that was for sale. McMillan stated that he did not get to where the ATV was for sale when he turned around. McMillan stated that he was leaving the Subdivision when he passed [VICTIM #1] in his vehicle. McMillan could not give a reason as to why he turned around when he was asked. McMillan was advised to stay away from [VICTIM #1].
