On September 18th, 2025, I (Ptl. Wilkinson) responded to 4529 Gillionville Rd in normal response mode in reference to a Child Abuse.

Upon arrival, I made contact with school counselor [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that an office manager [REDACTED] observed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (Student) with a large bruise and cut on his right eye. [WITNESS #1] stated that when [REDACTED] asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] how he got the injury; [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that his mother (Aja Reid) hit him in the face with a spatula this morning while he was in bed. [WITNESS #1] stated she then notified DCSSP officer [REDACTED] and then he called the Albany Police Department since the incident location was [1600 BLOCK] Erica Ct.

I observed a large bruise on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] right eye, and a cut along the right side of his eye. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] how he got the injury on his eye, in which he responded with “My mommy hit me with a spatula because I got a note in my folder”.

Sgt. Tuten then arrived on scene and investigator Ellis arrived on scene shortly after.

An NCIC/GCIC check was done for all parties on scene resulting negative for arrest warrants.

This case is active and forwarded to investigations.
