On 04/07/26, I, (Ptl. Simpson) responded in normal patrol mode to the [900 BLOCK] Lippitt Dr in reference to Discharging Firearms. A raven alert went off in the area nearby notifying us of the shots.

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed several shell casings in the parking lot and I began placing temporary placards identifying the shell casings. I also observed damage to a vehicle, (a white Mercedes GA tag #[REDACTED]). The vehicle had several bullet holes in the rear, front windshield and passenger side windows. I also saw several holes in the side of Apartment [REDACTED].

Ptl. E. Moore and Ptl. Q. McClain made contact with victims in Apartment [REDACTED], and Apartment [REDACTED]. I remained outside with the shell casings, making sure the scene was secure.

I was able to identity (44) 9mm casings, (25) .223 casings, (11) .45 caliber casings that were spread out in the parking lot. The shell casings were collected, logged and will be submitted into evidence and so will all pictures taken at the scene. A NIBIN service request form will be sent to Lt. Freeman, Cpl. Pascoe and CST Thurmond in reference to the shell casings being sent for NIBIN processing.

I made contact with the residents in Apartment [REDACTED] after they realized there was a bullet hole in their living room/bedroom wall. [VICTIM #1] stated he was asleep, heard the gunshots then realized that that a bullet had passed through the walls. A CARES form was completed and submitted.

All victims were advised of their resources and given a QR card with the report number. Lt. Arline was notified andresponded to the scene. A GCIC/NCIC check was conducted on all parties with negative results for being wanted.

This case remains active.
