I responded in emergency mode (lights and sirens) to [400 BLOCK] E Whitney Ave. on 09/21/2025 in reference to discharging firearms. I activated my department issued body camera to record audio/video of this incident.

Upon arrival, I observed people standing around and people leaving. I made my way to building [REDACTED]. I observed a single shell casing on the ground in front of the stairway. As I walked up the stairs I observed multiple shell casings on the 2nd floor near the stairway. I made my way to the 3rd floor and walked to the other end of the hallway and I did not see any damage or shell casings. I walked down to the 2nd floor and observed a assault rifle shell casing. Ptl. T. Davis was able to use the FUSES cameras in reference to this incident and observed the subjects enter room [REDACTED]. Ptl. T. Davis was also able to observe the incident occur in the parking lot on video.
