On September 7, 2025, I responded in emergency mode to [SINGLE DIGIT BLOCK] Sutton Pl in reference to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, I observed a Black female, later identified as [VICTIM #1], seated on the living room couch, crying and holding her left upper thigh, which was bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound.
After conducting a protective sweep of the residence to ensure the scene was secure, I began rendering initial aid to Ms. [VICTIM #1] until EMS personnel (Med 6) arrived on scene and assumed care. Ms. [VICTIM #1] was later transported by EMS to Phoebe Main for further treatment.
I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] to explain what had occurred. She stated that her ex-boyfriend, Dovorrius Williams, arrived at her residence intoxicated and attempted to make contact. She stated they began arguing through the door, and during the confrontation, Mr. Williams stated, “If you don’t open this door, I’m going to shoot through it.”Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that Mr. Williams then fired a single shot through the door, striking her in the left upper thigh. She stated he immediately fled the area on foot, and was last seen wearing all black clothing and having long dreadlocks.
While arriving at the complex, I observed a male matching the suspect’s description leaving the area on foot. I conducted a canvass of the surrounding area in an attempt to locate Mr. Williams but was met with negative results.
I photographed the front door, which showed visible damage consistent with a gunshot. These images will be logged into evidence. A search of the immediate area was conducted; however, I was unable to locate a spent shell casing at the scene.
Sgt. Richardson was notified of the incident and responded to the scene.
This case remains active and will be forwarded to investigations.
