On 08/06/2026 at approx. 0223 hours, I, Ptl. Harris, responded in normal patrol mode to 417 W 3rd Ave (Phoebe Main) in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, I observed a male in Trauma Rm 1 with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. I asked the male, who was later identified as [VICTIM #1], what happened and he said he did not know. [VICTIM #1] stated he was at the hospital to figure that out. I asked [VICTIM #1] where was he when this happened and he said he did not know. I asked [VICTIM #1] if he remembered the last place he was before the incident occurred and he said he does not know. I asked [VICTIM #1] if he knew how he got to Phoebe and he said he did not know. I observed a gunshot to his left leg. Photos were taken and logged into Albany Police Department Property and Evidence Locker #02.
I was able to obtain a label with [VICTIM #1]’ information on it and asked him for his address which he did not provide. Lt. Gadt and Sgt. Hart arrived on scene. Lt. Gadt asked [VICTIM #1] what happened and he did not answer him as well. I conducted a GCIC/NCIC check on [VICTIM #1] and he was negative for any wants/warrants. I did see his last known address was [200 BLOCK] Slater King Dr Apt [REDACTED]. Ptl. Slankard and I went to the area in order to make contact with anyone at the residence, but negative contact was made. I did not see a blood trail leading towards the residence to the parking lot.
