I responded in normal patrol mode to [1000 BLOCK] E. Roosevelt Ave in reference to a Theft by Taking. Upon arrival I made contact with [VICTIM #1].

[VICTIM #1] stated that he went to [600 BLOCK] W. Society Ave to stay with his girlfriend Katrina McDowell. [VICTIM #1] stated that later that night he went to leave the home around 0200 hours and McDowell told him that he was not leaving. [VICTIM #1] stated that he went to try and leave McDowell had stood in front of the door and grabbed a butcher knife and held it to her chest making the statement that he wasn’t going anywhere.

[VICTIM #1] stated that he called his friend [WITNESS #1] to come pick him up. [VICTIM #1] stated that he called [WITNESS #1] and while he was on the phone with him, McDowell made the statement that she was going to stab him. [VICTIM #1] stated that McDowell was tripping and she called her four year old daughter into the room. [VICTIM #1] stated that when the child came into the room he was able to get out the house. [VICTIM #1] stated that he texted McDowell the next day for his keys to his Black 2021 Freightliner truck displaying Oklahoma tag [REDACTED]. [VICTIM #1] stated that after he texted McDowell about the keys she stated that “Boi fu*k it pu*sy a*s now u really aint getting ur keys b*tch a*s f*ck boi”. [VICTIM #1] texted McDowell back and stated that he was going to call the police to get his keys. [VICTIM #1] stated that McDowell text him back stating “IDGAF prove it”. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was not going back and forth with McDowell so he just called the police.

I made contact with the witness [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that he received the call from [VICTIM #1] around 0201 hours and stayed on the phone with [VICTIM #1] for approximately 10 minutes until McDowell grabbed the phone from [VICTIM #1] and hung it up. [WITNESS #1] stated that he overheard McDowell stated that she was going to stab [VICTIM #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that he also heard McDowell call her daughter in the room while the whole incident took place. [WITNESS #1] stated that [VICTIM #1] told him that McDowell was tripping and that’s why he wanted to leave.

I made contact with Ptl. Morency who I advised to go over to [600 BLOCK] W. Society Ave and make contact with McDowell. Ptl. Morency placed McDowell into double locked handcuffs to the rear and drove her to the LEC to investigations to speak with an investigator. [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] were told to come to the LEC in reference to this incident.

Upon arrival at the LEC we made contact with Cpl Kicklighter. After the interview was conducted it was determined that Mcdowell would be taken to the Dougherty County Jail. I placed McDowell into double locked handcuffs to the rear. I then escorted her to my patrol vehicle 19-160. I transported McDowell to the Dougherty County Jail. Upon arrival at the jail i placed my duty weapon in the trunk of my patrol vehicle and escorted McDowell inside where she was turned over to the jail intake staff without incident. I went back outside to check the rear of my patrol vehicle for contraband to which i was met with negative results. Mcdowell was booked on Terroristic Threats and Acts (F) and Cruelty to children in the 3rd degree.

The text messages that were sent to my email will be placed into evidence locker number 2 at 201 W.Oglethorpe Blvd.

This case is cleared by arrest.
