I responded in normal patrol mode to the 500 Block of Corn Ave. in reference to a Disorderly with Injuries. Upon arrival I made contact with [VICTIM #1], who was sitting in her vehicle a 2005 Honda Accord displaying Ga Tag [REDACTED].
[VICTIM #1] stated she had asked her friend, Kayla Redding, if she wanted to ride with her to get something to eat. [VICTIM #1] stated she went to American Deli and got her something to eat. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding became upset because she wanted to go to King Claw and get her something to eat. [VICTIM #1] stated she did not take Redding to get no King Claw. [VICTIM #1] stated on the way back home to drop Redding off, Redding became irate and put the car in park by pushing the gear shift forward causing the car to stop abruptly. [VICTIM #1] stated she then drove slowly to an open field on Corn Ave. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding threw her phone but it did not break. [VICTIM #1] stated she told Redding several times to get out of her car. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding said no.
[VICTIM #1] stated she got out the car and walked to the passenger side to get Redding out of her car. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding reached in the back seat of the car and grabbed a pair of scissors and a started swinging at her and cut her left side of her face with the scissors. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding dropped the scissors and started stabbing her hands with a red pair of eye brow archer that was also located in her back seat. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding grabbed her purse out the back seat and started taking things out the purse and throwing them out. [VICTIM #1] stated she was missing $60 in cash, her charger for her IPhone, and the pair of scissors that was used to cut her face with. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding was even pulling her hair so bad that she pulled some of the hair out of her head. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding took off going south bound through the field toward Cherry Ave. because she stated she was going to call the police. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding got into a Gray car and left the incident location. [VICTIM #1] stated Redding lived at [300 BLOCK] Slater King Dr. (Mount Zion Apartments).
Me, Ptl. White, and Sgt. Bonner responded to [300 BLOCK] Slater King Dr. in reference to making contact with Redding. I knocked several times but was met with negative results.
While on scene I observed a long scar to the left side of [VICTIM #1]’s face. I observed a cut to [VICTIM #1]’s hands and chest. After I walked the area I found some of [VICTIM #1]’s items that Redding threw from [VICTIM #1]’s purse and car. I also took pictures of [VICTIM #1]’s hair that was pulled out of her head on the left side. Pictures was taken of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries and items that was thrown from the vehicle. Pictures will be placed into evidence locker number 2 at 201 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.
Sgt. Bonner and Lt. Price was notified about this incident.
