On 09/14/2025 at approx. 2339 hours, I, Ptl. Harris, responded in normal patrol mode to [900 BLOCK] Holloway Ave in reference to a disorderly conduct in progress.

Dispatch advised there was a male yelling, screaming, and cursing in the roadway and he was carrying a knife. Dispatch also advised several people called in reference to the male yelling in the roadway.

Once I arrived on scene, I observed a male wearing yellow in color shorts yelling and cursing. The male, later identified as Laquanta Oliver, was holding an object in his hand. I waited a brief moment before exiting my vehicle and saw that he was only holding a beer. Oliver was still yelling and he threw the beer in the bushes. I exited my vehicle and asked Oliver what was going on. Oliver stated someone was threatening him and pulled a gun on him. Oliver stated he was walking down the street when 2 males wearing ski masks came from the alley and pointed a gun at him. Oliver stated he came back to his residence and called the police. I asked Oliver why was he yelling and screaming and he said he wanted to defend himself, but couldn’t. I advised Oliver that was no excuse for him to still be yelling in the roadway and causing a disturbance. I noticed blood on the left side of his shorts and asked him was he hurt and he said no.

Oliver was placed in double-locked handcuffs to the rear and searched incident to arrest. The search yielded negative results for any weapons or illegal contraband. Oliver was placed in the rear of my patrol vehicle, car 18-198. A GCIC/NCIC check was conducted on Oliver and he was negative for any wants/warrants. An arrest booking card was completed prior to my arrival. Oliver was not complaining of any injuries at this time. Oliver wawas transported to the Dougherty County Jail. Upon arrival at the jail, my weapon was placed in the trunk of my patrol vehicle. Oliver was escorted into the jail and accepted by the jail staff.

Oliver was given citation BB002150 for Disorderly Conduct.

This case has been cleared by arrest.
