On January 30th, 2026, we, (Ptl. Wilkinson and Ptl. Monge) responded to 2800 Old Dawson Rd (Fin and Feathers) in normal response mode in reference to a Disorderly Conduct.

Upon arrival, I made contact with the security guard [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that a black male wearing a blazer, gold chains and a hat did not want to pay his tab and threw money at his server, but did not make contact with her. [WITNESS #1] stated that he kept buying females shots and drinks.

I then made contact with the black male (Marqueon Shorter) in the parking lot at 2800 Old Dawson Rd. Upon contact, I asked Shorter if he threw money at his server in which he stated that he did. Shorter stated that he was overcharged for his drinks. I then detained Shorter in handcuffs double locked to the rear due to Shorter being irate and intoxicated.

Contact was then made with the server [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that Shorter had a tab of $260 and did not want to pay it. [VICTIM #1] stated that Shorter then threw the money that he owed at her but the money did not make contact. [VICTIM #1] stated that she did not want to press charges on Shorter for throwing the money at her.

I advised to Shorter that I was just going to issue him a city citation for Disorderly Conduct and then release him to his brother, but shorter kept screaming and cussing after repeatedly being told to calm down. I then issued Shorter the citation for Disorderly Conduct (Citation #BB002408) and escorted Shorter to the Dougherty County jail. While in route Shorter just kept repeating that he did nothing, wrong. Once we arrived at the jail, we secured our firearms in the trunk of my patrol car and then escorted Shorter into the intake area of the jail. Once inside we handed Shorter over to the intake officers for booking.

An NCIC/GCIC check was done for all parties on scene resulting negative for arrest warrants.

This case is cleared by arrest.
