On 10/12/2025, I, Ptl. Drake, responded to the 600-blk of E Broad Ave in reference to an auto accident.

Upon arrival, I made contact with one of the drivers, B/F [VICTIM #1], who stated that her and her friend, B/F [WITNESS #1], were leaving Big Daddy’s lounge (300 E Broad Ave) when the driver of another vehicle, B/F Nia’kara Kennedy, attempted to block them in. [VICTIM #1] then stated that her sister threw a shoe at Kennedy’s vehicle. [VICTIM #1] further stated that she drove out of the parking lot and began to head eastbound on E Broad Ave, and this is when Kennedy began to chase her down the street in her vehicle. [VICTIM #1] advised that Kennedy began to drive on the wrong side of the roadway to be side-by-side, and to state things such as “The police ain’t gonna do nothing, there’s no point of calling them”.

[VICTIM #1] then advised that she stopped her vehicle in an empty parking lot across the street from Legend Lounge and Club (725 E Broad Ave), and Kennedy began to circle her vehicle to where she collided with both sides of the vehicle, and then fled the scene. [VICTIM #1] stated that the reason was due to fighting over another female.

I observed a dent and white paint on the driver’s side of the vehicle (2026 red-in-color Hyundai Elantra, GA Tag: [REDACTED]), along with the back passenger door not being able to open all the way. Pictures of the vehicle were taken and will be turned into the Albany Police Department’s property management evidence locker #2.

I then made contact with [WITNESS #1], the passenger, and she shared a similar story. Both [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] were able to provide a license tag and description for Kennedy’s vehicle, as well as an address for Kennedy, being [1000 BLOCK] E 4th Ave, Unit [REDACTED].

I then responded in normal patrol mode to [1000 BLOCK] E 4th Ave and observed a white Honda Accord with the matching license tag on the vehicle, parked in the driveway of the address. I knocked on the door and made contact with Kennedy, and she stated that [VICTIM #1]’s sister threw a shoe at her vehicle, so she followed them down the street to where [VICTIM #1] then hit her vehicle. Kennedy stated that she called the police before [VICTIM #1] and then left the scene because she thought it would be ok, since she called it in to report the accident.

I observed damage to the front bumper of the vehicle (2014 white-in-color Honda Accord, GA Tag: [REDACTED]), but Kennedy stated that the damage was there before the incident occurred. I observed a white spot on the windshield where the shoe made contact with her vehicle. Pictures of Kennedy’s vehicle were taken and will also be turned into the Albany Police Department’s property and management evidence locker #2.

Kennedy was searched for any weapons or contraband, then transported to the Albany Police Department (201 W Oglethorpe Blvd) for questioning. Both [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] arrived at the police department for questioning. Sgt. Jackson from the investigative unit interviewed all three parties, and determined that Kennedy was at fault. Kennedy was placed in double-locked handcuffs and transported to the Dougherty County Jail (1302 Evelyn Ave).

Upon arriving at the jail and turning her over to the jail staff, I secured my department-issued firearm in the truck of my patrol vehicle. Prior to leaving the jail, I checked the backseat of my patrol vehicle for any items left behind, yielding negative results. A NCIC/GCIC check was conducted on all parties, for warrants, yielding negative results.

This case was cleared by arrest.
