I, Ptl. T. Steele, responded in normal mode to 2735 Dawson Rd. in reference to a Family Violence incident.
Upon arrival, I made contact with two Black females in front of the hotel (later identified as Shadedra Peak and Orina Hardage). Peak was pacing around and yelling, stating, “She broke my phone and put her hands on me.” I asked Peak to calm down and stop yelling due to her causing a disturbance to other hotel guests.
I then attempted to speak with Hardage. When asked what was going on, Hardage refused to speak. Due to the call notes indicating that two females were fighting and running down the halls, I detained Hardage while I continued my investigation.
I then spoke with Peak. Peak stated that she and Hardage had been arguing and fighting in their room after Peak asked Hardage to have a threesome with another female. Peak advised that the argument escalated into a physical altercation inside the room and continued into the hallway. Peak stated that Hardage took her phone and threw it, causing the screen to crack.
Peak continued to be very loud, screaming and crying. After repeatedly asking her to calm down, and due to her admitting to being involved in a physical altercation with Hardage, I detained Peak as well.
I then went back to see if Hardage was willing to speak with me. Hardage stated that she and Peak were involved in a physical altercation and added that Peak always acts this way when she drinks.
At this time, Cpl. Hunt arrived on scene. I briefed him on the situation and shared the information I had gathered. Cpl. Hunt determined it would be best to place both females in marked patrol vehicles while we completed the investigation.
As Cpl. Hunt attempted to place Peak into his patrol vehicle, she began yelling and resisting, stating that she was not getting into the car. I opened the passenger-side rear door while Cpl. Hunt attempted to place Peak in the vehicle from the driver’s side. I ultimately had to reach through the back seat and physically pull Peak into the car.
Upon gathering all information, it was determined that Peak would be charged with Obstruction of a Peace Officer and Disorderly Conduct. Hardage was placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass for damaging Peak’s phone. Both females were transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
Two warrants were issued for Obstruction of a Peace Officer (25-014526-01APD) and Disorderly Conduct (25-014526-02APD) for Peak.
This case is cleared by arrest.
