I (Ptl. Medlock) responded in normal mode to [1700 BLOCK] Gadsden Dr. in reference to Disorderly Conduct.
Upon arrival, I made contact with Solomon Holt who was lying on the ground. Holt then looked at me approaching and stated “o no” and then began to run from me while jumping gates.
I made contact with [VICTIM #1] who stated that while she was at Needs Convenience store going home to [1700 BLOCK] Gadsden Dr. walking with her dad [VICTIM #2] she witnessed her ex-boyfriend Solomon Holt come from an alleyway. [VICTIM #1] stated that at which time she ran leaving her dad at the Needs convenience store. [VICTIM #1] stated she ran because Holt had always abused her in the past.
[VICTIM #1] stated that as she was running into her home at [1700 BLOCK] Gadston Dr. Holt struck her on the left side of her face leaving a visible lump. [VICTIM #1] stated Holt then grabbed her where she threw him off of her and she ran into her room and locked the door. [VICTIM #1] stated that as she was in her room she heard [VICTIM #2] screaming “he hit me with a brick”.
[VICTIM #1] stated she then opened her door and saw a brick in the hand of Holt. [VICTIM #1] then stated she advised Holt that she was calling the police. [VICTIM #1] stated that Holt then got up and ran out of her home.
I made contact with the caller [VICTIM #2] who stated that as he was coming home he noticed [VICTIM #1] and Holt arguing. [VICTIM #2] stated that when he got into his home at [1700 BLOCK] Gadsden Dr he went to his room because he didn’t want to be between Holt and [VICTIM #1] as they were arguing. [VICTIM #2] stated he then went into his room. [VICTIM #2] stated that as he was in his room he heard the arguing between Holt and [VICTIM #1] get louder. [VICTIM #2] stated he then came out of his room to tell Holt to calm down, [VICTIM #2] stated that at which time Holt became irate and attacked him. [VICTIM #2] stated that Holt hit him in the head with a brick and punched him in the face causing his lip to bleed and swell.
I observed a knot on the face of [VICTIM #1] and a knot on the forehead of [VICTIM #2]. I also observed [VICTIM #2]’s lip swollen. After conducting a GCIC/NCIC search on Holt it was revealed he had warrants (25-013214) out of APD for aggravated assault and criminal trespass. The warrant was confirmed by Walker at Dougherty County Jail through dispatcher [REDACTED]. This incident had a prior case history.
Holt was placed in double locked handcuffs (to the rear), searched incident to arrest, and placed in patrol vehicle (18224). Holt was placed in a seat belt. Holt was transported to the Dougherty County Jail and turned over to the jail staff. Prior to entering the jail, my department-issued weapons were placed in the trunk of the patrol vehicle. Prior to leaving the jail, the back seat was checked for contraband with negative results. Photos of the scene were taken and submitted to Property/Management (201 W Oglethorpe Ave) locker 2.
Sgt. Franklin was notified of this incident and investigator Ely was called to the scene. A GCIC/NCIC check was conducted on all parties for wants/warrants with positive results for Holt. This incident is not domestic in nature because Holt and [VICTIM #1] do not have kids together or live together.
This case is active and will be forwarded to investivation.
