[NARRATIVE #1 on July 17, 2025]
On Thursday July 17, 2025 I responded to [3400 BLOCK] Highway 5 (Brookvalley Apartments) Apt [REDACTED] Douglasville, Georgia 30135 in reference to a domestic involving a gun. While enroute Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch advised the 911 caller advised the suspect Bradley Norris had two guns to his head and then pointed the guns at the 911 caller. Upon my arrival other deputies were on scene and talking with the 911 caller outside of the residence while Bradley was still inside the residence. I began talking with Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch who advised they were attempting to make contact with Bradley via the phone. As I continued speaking with Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch, Deputy Combs advised she could see Bradley who was trying to communicate through a window from the residence.
At this time I waved to Bradley to get his attention and began speaking with him. Bradley was extremely upset and was scared he was going to be hurt. I informed Bradley that we did not want to see him get hurt and began attempting to calm him down and gain his trust. As I continued to speak with Bradley he began crawling out of the window with the intent to jump out and possibly harm himself. I was able to talk Bradley back into the apartment and continue speaking with him through the window. As I continued to speak with Bradley I asked him where the guns were in residence and he advised in the bedroom and on the dresser.
As Bradley continued to speak with me he agreed to come out of the residence through the front door as long as I was there and speak with me. I instructed Bradley that I would meet him at the front of the residence and to come out with his hands empty and raised. Bradley complied and exited the residence where he was secured in handcuffs and turned over to Deputy Hernandez. I along with other Traffic Safety Deputies cleared the residence and went back into service.

[NARRATIVE #2 on July 17, 2025]
On Thursday, July 17th, 2025, at about 1619 hours, Douglas County Dispatch gave a Tone-Out alert followed by a report of a boyfriend making threats to kill himself and the caller at Brook Valley Apartments, [3400 BLOCK] Hwy 5, Apt [REDACTED], Douglasville, Douglas County.
I was on Highway 5 at the time and arrived at the scene first, approximately 1622 hours. At the 800 building, at the top of the breezeway, I met with a crying female (later identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY], the complainant). She informed me she was unharmed and stated he pointed the gun right at me in a very terrified voice. She confirmed for me that her boyfriend (Bradley Norris) was still inside apartment [REDACTED] with two loaded guns. No one else was inside the apartment, and the door to it was closed.
I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to go downstairs to the ground level and asked if her neighbors were home. She said yes. Friends next door, an older adult across the hall at the northwest corner, and unsure if anyone was home directly across from her (northeast corner). Residents in neighboring apartments were notified and asked to prepare to evacuate if necessary. I placed a taped covering over the peephole for apartment [REDACTED] and secured the area around the door with Deputy Russell and Hernandez.
The complainant, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], was able to provide me a number for Bradley to give to dispatch, and Sergeant Atkins was advised that Bradley had pointed a loaded gun at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] while inside the apartment. Other Deputies arrived and were able to make verbal and visual contact with Bradley through a bathroom window at the rear of the apartment.
Bradley communicated with Deputy Williams, who convinced him to come out the front door unarmed. Deputy Williams, Hernandez, and I provided support for Deputy Williams. Bradley first opened the door, sat down inside the door, and then, with help, exited and was secured in handcuffs.
Bradley was placed into Deputy Hernandez’s patrol vehicle for transport to the Douglas County Jail. Investigator Puckett was on scene and requested that I walk through the apartment with him and [REDACTED] to document any damages inside.

Douglas County Dispatch advised that there was a male who was holding a gun to his head attempting to kill himself, and then pointed it at the female.
Upon arrival, Deputies Watts and Russell were on scene standing by the door with the female who called it all in. She was identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. We were advised by Sargent Atkins to stand by and not go into the residence. After a while, the male (Bradley Norris) came out the apartment with his hands up and was placed in handcuffs. The apartment was cleared by Sgt. Atkins and Sgt. Quibell. I was advised by Sgt. Atkins to place him under arrest and transport him to the jail.
Bradley was placed in my vehicle and transported to the Douglas County Jail without incident. He was cleared by the medical nurse and turned over to the book in staff.

[NARRATIVE #4 on July 17, 2025]
On 7/17/2025 at approximately 1619 hours, I assisted with a toned out call at [3400 BLOCK] Highway 5 Apartment [REDACTED]. The caller advised her boyfriend, Bradley Norris, was making threats to shoot himself and her. In my marked Douglas County patrol car, I activated my lights and siren.
Upon arrival, a few Deputies were already on scene and the complainant was out of the apartment. I saw Bradley at the side window of the apartment and stated he wanted one of us to call him on the phone. Bradley was clearly upset and emotional. Myself and Deputy Williams #267 attempted to talk to Bradley. Bradley lifted up the window and pushed out the screen. Bradley began crying and saying he did not want us to hurt him. We assured Bradley that all we wanted to do was to help him. Bradley stated he was going through a lot and was upset. Myself and Deputy Williams tried to calm Bradley down and get him to come out to us. Bradley then began trying to position himself to jump out of the window. We pleaded with Bradley not to do so. Finally, Bradley agreed to come outside of the apartment with his hands up. Once Bradley came out, he was detained.
