On Thursday, 06 November 2025, I, Deputy N. Jones, Badge #236 with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to [4600 BLOCK] Sterling Pointe Ct, Douglasville Ga 30135 in response to a toned 911 call regarding shots fired.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch advised a 911 caller later identified as reported someone had been shot.
Upon arrival, I observed a black female standing at the top of the stairs yelling. I ran up to the residence and made contact with the female, later identified as [WITNESS #1], who was historical at the time. [WITNESS #1] stated her best friend had been shot and started crying historically again. Deputies Z. McDonald, Badge #216 and Z . Geldmeier, Badge #335 arrived on scene shortly after. Deputy McDonald and I cleared the residence while Deputy Geldmeier escorted [WITNESS #1] to the back seat of his patrol vehicle.
While clearing the residence, I observed droplets of blood on the stairs leading up to the main living area as well as on the front porch steps. Additionally, There was a bloody smudge mark on a white bedroom door in the home.
Lieutenant K. Fields arrive on scene shortly after and immediately began securing the area with crime scene tape around the curtilage and driveway of the home. Investigator S. Martin and Sergeant Sperano arrived on scene shortly after. I was then assigned the task of monitoring the crime scene log. While doing so, I then noticed a neighbor, later identified as [REDACTED], waving from across the street. I made contact with [REDACTED] who stated he had video surveillance footage of the incident. He emailed the footage to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for further review.
