On 10/20/25, I was dispatched to 978 Douglas Hill Road in reference to 2 stolen motorcycles. There, I met with Jaide Harvey. Jaide resides in North Carolina; however, he is staying here temporarily to work at this construction site.
Jaide advised the following: On Thursday (10/16), Jaide was traveling on Thornton Road near Factory Shoals Road with his two motorcycles on a trailer. Jaide stated that he was in a motor vehicle wreck and his truck needed to be towed. A male driving a “hotshot” transport truck got out and offered to transport the motorcycles the rest of the way to his destination, in Hinesville, GA. Jaide agreed and paid the male $350, half the quoted transport cost, with the Driver arriving in Hinesville on Friday (10/17) at 1600 to meet his brother. On Friday, no one had arrived, and Jaide attempted to call he driver back, but when he tried the phone number, it rang continuously, without going to voicemail.
Jaide stated he knew the driver as [REDACTED] (possibly [REDACTED]) with a phone number of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Jaide described [REDACTED] as approximately 6’5″ and 230-250lbs. [REDACTED] had short hair and was clean-shaven. Jaide was unable to provide any more information for [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] did have a USDOT number on the side of his truck, but Jaide did not get it, nor any more information on the vehicle either.
The two bikes that were taken were a 2018 Harley Davidson Street Glide with North Carolina tag [REDACTED], and a 1997 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic with no tag, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Motor vehicle theft cards were completed for both bikes.
The Ultra Classic with no tag is already in the system as stolen from when it was entered in 2023 by Whiteville, South Carolina. Jaide stated the bike was recovered after that incident, but it appears the agency did not remove the vehicle from NCIC as stolen. I will contact Jaide when I have the opportunity, and let him know that Whiteville needs to log it as recovered before we can enter it as stolen. Theother bike was entered into NCIC/GCIC as stolen.
[End of Narrative]
