On November 30th, 2025 at approximately 19:31 hours I, Deputy Edwards 212, responded to a call for service in reference to an active domestic dispute located at [700 BLOCK] London Way Lithia Springs, Ga 30122. Kaitlynn Kuzel had an active warrant that I took out in August this year and was associated with this address. I arrived on scene and heard active yelling at the door way, I made contact with the occupants and observed Kaitlynn run to the back of the apartment. I gave a verbal command to Kaitlynn, to come back and she complied. Due to her having an active warrant through my agency, I placed her under arrest. Kaitlynn was placed in my patrol vehicle by assisting deputies.
I asked [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] what took place. [VICTIM #1] stated her and Kaitlynn were arguing throughout the day and ultimately, [VICTIM #1] ended the relationship. [VICTIM #1] stated a while later, Kaitlynn was sitting next to her on the bed and stated ” I should’ve beat your a*s before I went to jail” and proceeded to get on top of her. Once Kaitlynn was on top of her, Kaitlynn began to strangle [VICTIM #1], in which [VICTIM #1] stated she felt lightheaded, dizzy, and could not speak at the moment. [VICTIM #1] stated she fought back and got Kaitlynn off of her. At this point [VICTIM #2] entered the room and attempted to stop the altercation. As [VICTIM #2] was doing so, Kaitlynn punched [VICTIM #1] in the nose and pushed [VICTIM #2]. [REDACTED] entered the room and took Kaitlynn to the floor to restrain her from harming the other two parties.
Kaitlynn then exited the room after [REDACTED] stopped the altercation. At this time they continued to argue as Kaitlynn gathered her belongings when I arrived on scene. [VICTIM #1] ultimately declined prosecution but advised me of a protection order through Clarke County S.O. [VICTIM #1] and Kaitlynn were not married and did not live not share children together. [VICTIM #2] declined prosecution as well. I contacted Clarke County S.O. to confirm the active protection order against Kaitlynn with the victim listed being [VICTIM #1].
Clarke County S.O. did confirm that Kaitlynn had an active protection order and bond order in place Case #25P00454 for the victim of [VICTIM #1], stating there shall be no violent contact with the victim and shall not visit the address of [700 BLOCK] London Way. The order was issued 06/09/2025 and did not expire until 06/08/2027. A copy of this Protection order will be attached to this case report. Due to the violent nature of this incident and Kaitlynn being identified as the aggressor, I charged Kaitlynn with Aggravated Stalking and Aggravated Assault Strangulation.
Witness statement forms were completed except from [VICTIM #1] who declined to complete one. I transported Kaitlynn to the Douglas County jail where she was medically cleared and booked in. I applied for a warrant against Kaitlynn for Aggravated Stalking and Aggravated Assault. A copy of the warrant was placed in the bin inside the patrol muster room.
[End of Narrative]
