[NARRATIVE #1 on November 25, 2025]

At approximately 14:33 hours, units responded to [2700 BLOCK] Del Ridge Drive in reference to an emergency domestic incident involving a knife. The caller reported that her daughter had armed herself with a knife, made threats, damaged a vehicle, and fled the area in another vehicle. Responding deputies stopped the vehicle leaving the neighborhood and detained the daughter, identified as Mariah Gunn.

Other deputies contacted the remaining parties at the residence. The mother, [VICTIM #1], stated that Mariah and her sister, [VICTIM #2], were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. [VICTIM #1] reported that Mariah then began attacking her as well, causing a fight to break out among all parties.

[VICTIM #1] advised that [VICTIM #2] yelled that Mariah had a knife, at which point [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] ran out of the house with Mariah chasing them while holding the knife. Mariah then struck [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle mirror with the knife, causing a cut in the paint, and attempted—but failed—to slash a tire. [VICTIM #1] stated that Mariah discarded the knife into a trash can before fleeing with a friend.

Mariah told deputies she had been arguing with her sister and became involved in a physical fight with both her sister and her mother. She claimed someone grabbed a bat, prompting her to pick up a knife in self-defense. The bat described by Mariah was located in the street and was determined to be a light blue plastic toy bat.

Deputies located multiple videos of the fight on various phones; however, the videos only showed Mariah and [VICTIM #1] fighting, with [VICTIM #1] standing and Mariah on the ground pulling her hair. None of the videos captured the beginning of the incident. [VICTIM #1] stated she wanted to press charges for the knife threats, the damage to her vehicle, and a laptop found with a shattered screen and broken hinge, which witnesses stated Mariah slammed onto the ground.

Mariah was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Trespass – Damage (Family Violence).

[NARRATIVE #2 on November 25, 2025]

On November 25, 2025, I, Deputy Diallo, responded to [2700 BLOCK] Del Ridge Dr., Douglasville, GA 30135, in reference to a domestic incident. Multiple deputies responded.

Upon arrival, I made contact with the suspect, Mariah Gunn, who had already been placed in handcuffs by Deputy Williams #267. I then proceeded to the residence and made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1], the mother of the involved parties.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that a physical altercation had occurred between her two daughters, identified as Mariah Gunn and [VICTIM #2]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said that when she attempted to intervene and break up the fight, Mariah went into the kitchen, retrieved a knife, and stated that she would stab both her mother and her sister [VICTIM #2].

Fearing for their safety, Ms. [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] ran toward the front door in an attempt to distance themselves from Mariah. Ms. [VICTIM #1] reported that Mariah then ran toward them with the knife pointed in their direction. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] to complete a written statement regarding the incident, and she agreed. A statement form was provided.

With Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s permission, I spoke with her juvenile daughter, [VICTIM #2]. [VICTIM #2] stated that the conflict began the previous night when she and Mariah argued over liquor. She stated that one of Mariah’s friends came to the residence earlier that day to get her hair done, and another argument occurred. [VICTIM #2] reported that Mariah then took a laptop and threw it to the ground, destroying it.

She further stated that Mariah went outside and scratched their mother’s car, specifically damaging the right passenger-side mirror. [VICTIM #2] agreed to complete a written statement, and I provided her with a statement form.

The suspect, Mariah, claimed that her mother and sister had “jumped” her and presented video footage as proof; however, I did not view the video. A friend of Mariah, identified as Ms [WITNESS #1], insisted that Mariah had been jumped by Ms. [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2]. I requested that [WITNESS #1] provide a written statement, and she agreed. A statement form was provided. All completed statement forms were collected.

Mariah Gunn was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault (Family Violence) with a Deadly weapon and Criminal Trespass – Damage (Family Violence). She was transported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office by Deputy Lawrence #268. Mariah was medically cleared and turned over to jail security staff without further incident.

I located the knife outside the residence, secured it in my patrol vehicle, and later logged it into evidence. A warrant was submitted for the arrest of Mariah Gunn.
