Beginning the above date and time I responded to a report of an unknown male entering the complainants vehicle.

Upon my arrival I spoke to the complainant identified as [VICTIM #1], who stated she exited the store to see an unknown white male later identified as Justin Sheppard sitting in the driver seat of her vehicle with the door still open. According to [VICTIM #1], Justin appeared to be looking around the center console and dash using his hands to search around. [VICTIM #1] made contact with Justin and told him to exit the vehicle which he declined stating the car was his. [VICTIM #1] further stated she shouted at Justin to leave her property alone and Justin began yelling back at her and shouting profane language at her before finally exiting the car and maintaining his disorderly behavior.

I spoke with Justin who stated he thought [VICTIM #1]’ vehicle was his and got confused which led to him entering the driver seat. Justin also admitted to yelling and shouting at [VICTIM #1] using profane language. When questioned about why [JUSTIN] appeared to be looking through the vehicle he stated he was looking for his phone which he thought he might have dropped in the floorboard. When asked where he found his phone, Justin stated it was in his vehicle which was in a parking spot across from [VICTIM #1]’ vehicle.

Multiple witnesses on scene stated they observed Justin shouting profane language at [VICTIM #1] after he told him to get out of her car. Justin was placed under arrest and transported to the Effingham County Jail where he was booked in by the on duty booking officer for the above related charges. Warrants will be applied for accordingly.
