Inspector Notes: The equalizer lines at the pool wall are not covered with any fitting. Protect the equalizer line with the appropriate cover. These lines have the potential to become suction lines in the event of low water level and therefore must be protected by proper fittings. The equalizer lines are not required and may be properly abandoned. Inspector Notes: The flowmeter does not appear to be functioning, and the turnover rate cannot be verified. The weight is all the way at the bottom of the flow meter; however, the pump and filter appear to function properly. The required flow for the pool is 305 gpm. Must be corrected immediately. For any pool that does not meet proper turnover rate two (2) times in a row, it may be deemed that changes need to occur to the filtration system or further investigation as to why turnover cannot be met. Code: The equipment for a swimming pool shall be of adequate size to turn over the entire pool water capacity. The turnover rate for pools constructed after the adoption of this chapter shall not exceed the sum of one and one-half times the average water depth in feet; where the number of hours is equal to the number feet calculated or exceed once every six hours whichever is less.
