The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Atlanta Police Department on June 10, 2024:
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. – On June 9, 2024 at approximately 10:41 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 1 Officers responded to reports of a person shot at 3021 Middleton Rd NW. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a 50-year old female who sustained gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition by EMS. Investigators responded to the location to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Preliminary information suggests the victim was attempting to break up a large fight between juveniles when she was shot. The investigation continues.
