FULTON COUNTY, Ga. – Eight men from across metro Atlanta and Columbus were arrested following a two-night undercover operation aimed at curbing prostitution and human trafficking, according to Sandy Springs and Dunwoody police.

Authorities said the joint enforcement effort took place Jan. 29 and Jan. 30 and focused on individuals attempting to solicit illicit sexual acts. The operation was part of an ongoing collaboration between North Fulton and DeKalb County law enforcement agencies to reduce demand for commercial sex and disrupt activity linked to human trafficking.

All eight suspects were charged with solicitation for an illicit sexual act. Police identified those arrested as Edwin Hernandez-Aguilar of Mableton; Edgar Vazquez Cruz and Cyrus Zeerak, both of Sandy Springs; Branden Michael Reiner Boyd of Columbus; David Luna and Suhuruth Reddy Chada of Marietta; Edwin Crisostomo Reyes of Norcross; and Bailey Garrison Reed of Oakwood.

Police did not release details about the specific locations used during the sting or whether any potential trafficking victims were identified. However, officials emphasized that operations like this are designed to target the demand side of prostitution, which they say plays a key role in sustaining human trafficking networks.

Law enforcement agencies involved said similar undercover efforts will continue throughout Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, and surrounding communities as part of a broader strategy to combat exploitation and keep trafficking-related activity out of residential and commercial areas.
