FULTON COUNTY, Ga. – Atlanta rapper and actor Christopher Ludacris Bridges, who played the character Tej Parker in the Fast and the Furious films, recently shared a post online about an exciting new roller coaster under construction at Universal Studios in California.
The thrilling ride, named Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, will be the park’s first outdoor high-speed coaster and features twists, turns, and inversions as it travels through several areas of the park.
Ludacris posted that fans should expect completion in 2026, but an exact opening date has yet to be released. Officials explained that the new ride will replace the original Fast & Furious attraction, which will shut down on March 10, 2025.
The state-of-the-art coaster will include 360-degree rotations of the individual cars and high-speed spinning that simulates drifting. Riders will be able to find the attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Upper Lot.
