EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. – On Thursday, April 18, 2024, authorities arrested a school bus driver after she crashed into a vehicle while allegedly under the influence of drugs and with students aboard. Officials reported that all students safely exited the bus, and no injuries resulted from the accident outside South Effingham High School early that morning.

Officials detained the bus driver, Brenda Glisson, at the school, and Georgia State Patrol troopers arrested her. Glisson faces charges of DUI and following too closely.
