CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. – A 15-year-old boy is facing murder charges after police say he fatally stabbed his mother Sunday night.
Chatham County police responded to a reported stabbing around 10:15 p.m. at a home on Berwick Lakes Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found a 45-year-old woman with multiple apparent stab wounds. She later died from her injuries.
Police arrested the woman’s teenage son at the scene and charged him with murder. His name has not been released due to his age.
The teen was taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center. The identity of the victim has not been made public.
The case is currently still under investigation.
