Chatham: Employee killed outside Lucky’s Pub, suspect charged with murder

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. – The Chatham County Police Department has made an arrest in a homicide that happened early this morning.

At approximately 1:55 a.m., Chatham County Police Department officers were called to Lucky’s Pub located at 6 East Gateway Blvd. for a report of shots fired. There, they found an adult male employee of the business deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

Officers quickly located the suspect, and the Chatham County Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division arrested and charged 45-year-old Jeremy Scarth with murder. Detectives believe Scarth approached the victim while he was outside the business before the shooting occurred.

Scarth will be transported to the Chatham County Detention Center.
