Banks County (January 24, 2023) – After a thorough investigation, three Banks County Elementary educators resigned amid a love triangle between the trio, which revealed the principal, Dr. Dana Simmons, and PE teacher, Dylan Charles, of the school engaging in sexual activity while on the school’s campus. The wife of Charles, Kelsey Charles, a third-grade teacher at the school, was aware of the affair and had allegedly set up the encounters between Simmons and her husband to help further their careers.

Banks County Elementary School Principal Dr. Dana Simmons initially expressed worries that physical education teacher Dylan Charles had bugged her office, prompting Banks County Superintendent Dr. Ann Hopkins to request a third-party investigation into the matter.

During a meeting with district officials, Charles told administrators that he had been having an affair with Simmons for a number of years, where they routinely used the school to meet and engage in sexual activity.

Simmons said the two of them had an “inappropriate friendship” but would not elaborate further.

During an interview with Charles, he provided a picture and a video of a naked man and woman having sex. Although not clear, he identified the pair as Simmons and himself in both the photo and video. He also provided pictures of Simmons performing oral sex on a man in a car and naked photos of her in a bathroom across from her office at the school.

During an interview with Simmons, she provided a photo of Charles shirtless and wearing a cape. She also acknowledged that she had sex with Charles.

Simmons alleges that Charles’ wife arranged their sexual encounters and would watch them while they had sex. She denied engaging in any sexual activity while on the school’s campus.

The front office’s attendance secretary told investigators that she had witnessed Charles’ wife text Simmons, asking if she wanted to have sex with her husband.

In an interview with detectives, Charles’ wife, Kelsey, said that Simmons had manipulated into allowing Simmons to have sex with her husband in exchange for helping further their careers.

According to the board of education report, Kelsey also admitted that she had watched and recorded sexual encounters between her husband and Simmons.

According to reports, Simmons had tried to encourage a former paraprofessional to join a swingers group. The former employee claimed that Simmons’ lack of professionalism was the reason she ultimately quit her job at the school.

The independent investigation reached the conclusion that there was sufficient evidence that Simmons and Charles were involved in a sexual relationship and engaged in sexual activity on at least one occasion while on school premises.

Simmons, who is a twenty year veteran with the school district, was in her third year as prinicial of Banks County Elementary. Charles has been a teacher at the school for seven years. All three educators involved in this scandal are no longer employee by the school.

The Professional Standards Commission, which certifies teachers in Georgia, says it has received the reports on both educators and the incident is currently under investigation.
