HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities arrested a 33-year-old former police department chief clerk after an investigation into missing money began. Anna Megan Brock faces charges of false statements/writings/concealing facts/fraudulent government documents, felony theft by conversion, and stealing/altering public documents.
Brock worked for the Buchanan Police Department, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. A “large amount” of citation money was reported missing in July, and the GBI was called to investigate.
Police detained Brock on August 29 and transported her to the Haralson County Jail, where she later received a $1,000 bond and was released.
The GBI continues to investigate this case. Once the investigation ends, the case will transfer to the Haralson County District Attorney’s Office.
