BULLOCH COUNTY, GA – Former Georgia State Representative Delvis William Dutton, 43, was arrested on Monday after a prior female journalist for Dutton’s publication All On Georgia says he stalked and harassed her.

Criminal warrants filed April 9th in the Bulloch County Magistrate Court accuse Dutton of sending an excess of 100 emails and text messages to former All On Georgia reporter Jessica Szilagyi, who reportedly stopped writing for Dutton in January of this year. Szilagyi now writes for The Georgia Virtue.

The warrants also say Dutton went onto Szilagyi’s property multiple times without her knowledge, where he placed a trail camera to monitor her home and “observe her movements”.

The alleged stalking and harassment are said to have started as far back as August 2020, according to the warrants.

Dutton made a public statement on his personal Facebook page, where he calls his arrest “retaliation” for sending several former employees a cease and desist. Szilagyi was not directly named in the statement.

Dutton turned himself in on April 12th and was released shortly after to await his next court appearance.
